Common Problems with iOS8

We try and make sure to have our games work with the most current updates from Apple. If you are having some problems follow some of the items listed below to help solve your problems.

Make sure you have the latest updates

Devices:

  • Install the latest device updates: Go to Settings/General/Software Update
  • Power down the device and power it back on

Oh So Shiny Apps:

  • Our apps should notify you upon syncing if an update has been released. Follow the steps when it shows up in your game.

Game sluggish, choppy, freezing or crashing

There are several reasons why apps may crash, freeze, or have other issues that are technical in nature. If you’ve been playing for a while or have used a lot of apps consecutively, there will be a greater chance of this happening.

Battery Life

Double-check that your device has plenty of battery life left. Playing games on a device can run your battery down faster than normal.

Close all applications.

When you switch to different apps on an iOS device they aren’t closing but put into a multitasking state. Riff the Robot doesn’t  Please see Apple’s iOS: Understanding multitasking help article for more information.

Restart your device.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.

ReInstalling your game

Some issues can be resolved by deleting the app and re-installing it from the app store. To do this follow these steps:

  1. Press and hold the app icon
  2. Press the RED X badge to delete
  3. Open the App Store on your device
  4. Search for the problem app
  5. Download and Install

Purchasing Problems

After the release of the iOS8, some players may experience problems purchasing energy or coins because of the new Terms and Conditions of Apple. Accepting Apple’s new Terms and Conditions is necessary if you want to continue downloading apps from the iTunes App Store or make in-game purchases. To accept these new Terms and conditions, please follow these steps: – Open the App Store – Scroll down to your username and tap on it, to – Enter your password and confirm the App Store’s new terms and conditions If that does not work you may also try to: – Go to your device settings – Scroll to iTunes & App Store – Tap on your Apple ID – Sign out and sign back in. You should now be able to energy and coins in your game.
